To restrict the spread of Covid-19, new rules were introduced. To continue hiring, companies had no choice but to change their hiring process so that they came in sync with the new social distancing norms.
Earlier, the candidates were called to offices and face to face interviews were conducted. The interviewer then used to judge their personality, their attitude, behavior, knowledge and a lot of other things which were combined to decide whether the candidate will be selected or not.
But to ensure health and safety of people, the companies switched to virtual hiring. Now, the selection of the candidates would depend on their performance in online assignments and interviews conducted over video calls. It also became easier for the companies as it provided a lot of flexibility and also increased the candidate pool, giving the companies an option to find the best candidate from a more diversified set of candidates.
But even when the second wave has hit hard, there are measures being taken to control the spread. People are being encouraged to get themselves vaccinated. But even after that, will there be any resistance in people to travel and will these factors impact the decisions the company will make?
In this webinar, the panelists will be discussing what the companies will choose going forward. Will they continue hiring virtually only or they will switch back to physical hiring? Or, can there be a mix of both? Besides this, they will also be discussing if the factors like vaccination drive and resistance of traveling create an impact on the decisions and if yes, how important will these factors be in the decision.
